I grew up in a small town in Idaho, but prefer life in the bigger cities.  I love to cook, but would prefer eating out (no clean-up). I am a wife and mother to 3 wonderful children.  I love my family dearly.  I love to get lost in a good book and have spent many a late night finishing a book I can’t seem to put down. I love to travel and experience different cultures.  I love that my family is adventurous and loves to travel also.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment is my children.  I could never have imagined the joy my children would bring me.  We believe that family relationships don’t end with death.  I am grateful I have been married in the temple to a wonderful man who respects and loves me and loves our children.  I know that we can be together forever.  There is much happiness in my life and it is primarily because of the love I have for my family.  There is nothing better!

What brings you the greatest happiness?

My family is the most important aspect of my life.  I am truly the happiest when I am spending time with them.

What strengthens your faith in Jesus Christ?

Life with a young family can be chaotic.  Some days there is rarely a moment to catch my breath.  If I can find a quiet moment to read my scriptures, listen to a hymn, or just say a simple prayer, I find my faith in Jesus Christ strengthened.

I also love reading and learning more about my Savior’s life. As I learn and come to know Him more, the spirit testifies to me that Jesus is my Savior.  That deepens my faith in Him.

When I stop and think about all the Christ has done for me, I feel overwhelmed by His love. He has made it possible for me to return to my Heavenly Father and live with my family after this life.

How has one of your spiritual gifts/talents benefited your life?

Spiritual gifts are a blessing in one’s life.  We have been told in the scriptures we can seek after the best gifts of the spirit.  One gift I have been given is the gift of being happy and the ability to have a positive attitude.  I feel like these two things are one gift because I don’t think you can have one without the other.  When I look back on my life, I can only see happiness. There have been times of sadness in my life, but it is not hard for me to look at things in a positive light. I know that the difficult times will end and that happiness will return.  I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for the many blessings in my life.

How do you know when you’ve received answers to prayers?

I feel like I have been very blessed in my life and have always felt like Heavenly Father hears my prayers.  When there have been times of uncertainty in my life and I have gone to my Father in Heaven in prayer, I have always felt a calming feeling of peace come over me.  I know it has been Heavenly Father letting me know that everything will be ok.  I am also a firm believer that when faced with two good choices, that I should make the decision and then ask Heavenly Father to bless me in that decision.  Again, when I have made one of these decisions, I have felt at peace knowing Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to succeed.

Kassandra’s Conversion Story:

I have always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I can’t remember a time where I didn’t know the church was true.  I had the wonderful opportunity to serve a mission in Russia.  I served there a few years after the fall of the Iron Curtain.  I was able to watch so many people become converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many of them gave up so much just to be a member of the church.  Some even lost the support of their families because of their conversions.  I realized how blessed I have been to have been born into a family that loves the Lord and were faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  As I watched these incredible people grow, the Spirit testified to me over and over again of the truthfulness of the Church.

I want my family and friends to now that I love the Lord and I do that by loving and serving them

What are ways you share & live the Gospel with your family or others around you?

I have many friends who are faithful members of other churches.  I have found the best way to share and live the Gospel is by example.  I want my family and friends to know that I love the Lord and I do that by loving and serving them.

What is your hope/wish/prayer for all women throughout the world?

My hope for women throughout the world is that they understand how much their Father in Heaven loves them. He has given women special and sacred gifts.  We are daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us completely, no matter what.
