I was taught at a young age to look for Jesus in the details. This skill came in really handy when I moved to college. I moved far away from my home when I went to college, and adjusting to a new way of life was much harder than I anticipated.
I often would ask in my prayers to know that the Savior was aware of me and my needs. There was one Sunday in particular, where it was freezing cold outside, and I was feeling especially lonely. I offered up a very simple prayer that I would know Jesus was aware of me and could extend peace to my very anxious heart.
As I was walking to church I ran into a patch of wild sunflowers. Sunflowers are my favorite flower, and wild sunflowers were one of my favorite things about home. It made me smile, and I knew that Jesus was perfectly aware of me.
I know that as I pay attention to the little details I can often see the hand of Jesus in my daily interactions and errands. I am so grateful for a Savior that extends love and grace to me.
